A Wood Havens birdhouse is not just a house...it's a home. I make my birdhouses with the serious bird enthusiast in mind, but occasionally with whimsy at heart. My functional, well-crafted, distinctive houses and feeders provide welcoming havens for your backyard visitors...which means hours of fun for you.

Functional
While Wood Havens birdhouses are beautiful, they really are for the birds! I design each house to attract certain types of birds. I make the size of the entryway and the shape of the interior chamber of each house according to recommendations by the National Wildlife Federation. And unlike purely decorative birdhouses, Wood Havens houses are accessible for cleaning, and they are free of perches that attract predators. I also field test all feeders to ensure they actually attract birds.

Well-crafted
Havens are crafted mainly with cedar and pine, and some PVC and copper. They are expertly joined, and I use hardware that is approved for outdoor use. Each house and feeder is painted with exterior paint and coated with exterior spar urethane, a weatherproofing compound used on boats.

Distinctive
I hand craft and hand paint all Wood Haven products. They are not mass produced, so no two are ever exactly alike, making them a unique addition to your own backyard or a great gift for any occasion.

If you see a house on this site that you would like to have in a different color, I do take custom orders. I also offer squirrel feeders to lure the squirrels away from your bird feeder.
